Te Aurere left Auckland on 17th August 2012 with Ngahiraka Mai Tawhiti on an epic voyage to Rapanui (Easter Island) and returned on 18th May 2013, eight months and over 10,000 Nautical Miles later.  The waka is currently out of the water at Aurere where it is receiving a well-earned refit.
