Arawai gratefully acknowledges the support of the Lottery Grants Board to enable it to participate in activities related to the Rugby World Cup 2011. This included participation in the opening ceremony at the Maritime Museum and the Viaduct Basin, and the opening of Waka Maori. Click here for images from the opening ceremony.
ATEED is providing invaluable advice and assistance in the start-up phase of Arawai’s tourism operations. ATEED was also responsible for contracting Arawai to provide a range of festival-related services for the Rugby World Cup 2011. Arawai has recently become a member of the Auckland Convention Bureau and promotes its experiences through the i-SITES.
Arawai also received great support from Te Puni Kōkiri during the RWC 2011 and from time to time is delighted to host visiting media and other guests arranged by Tourism New Zealand.
